We bet the whole day was amazing, but do you have a favourite part?

Adam and I had a destination wedding so we absolutely loved that so many of our family and friends were apart of our special day. knowing that they had all made such an effort to come filled us with lots of love. I Also loved the fact that our 3 kids were a part of our day. My bride tribe didn’t have bouquets, instead, they each held one of our children as they came down the isle.

Did you go with a theme? Was it classic or did you have a funky twist?

We didn’t really have a theme. We just wanted it to be relaxed for everyone involved. nothing too matchy or full on. If we liked it we went for it.

What was your wedding location like? Help us visualise it! We’re real dreamers!

Ok, so call me crazy… we actually booked our ceremony and reception without ever seeing them! We are from Melbourne and had always wanted a destination wedding where we could have a celebration that lasted over a few days. We settled on Sydney as the location as we thought that this would be the easiest travel option for our guests. I saw a few blogs online and couldn’t go past Moby Dick’s in Whale beach, I feel instantly in love. It was a cliffy & beachy with tropical trees everywhere and the most divine properties scattered high amongst the cliffs. hard to imagine that this gorgeous town was only an hour from the hustle and bustle of Sydney’s CBD. I also held back from seeing the ceremony and reception area’s until I was walking down the aisle on the day and when we arrived at the reception. I was totally blown away, even more amazing than I had imagined.

Tell us about the food- was it sit down, cocktail or food trucks? We’re drooling already!

We organised a sashimi bar for our guests to enjoy in the courtyard prior to entering the reception with roaming canapes. Moby’s do a grazing style sit down option for main which was one of the draw cards to choosing them. Large plates of the most delicious food placed on each table and then everyone can help themselves. so good! then floating jar desserts with the most amazing cheese platter made up on the bar which was as long as me!

Was there a Honeymoon or did you get back to the daily grind?

We didn’t organise a honeymoon as the wedding was already a holiday in itself. Plus I had a little 7-month-old so it was too tricky to leave her. We will be heading on a kid-free honeymoon during our 1 year anniversary. we are hoping to head to Bora Bora!

Do you have any words of wisdom or advice for upcoming brides?

Keep things simple & don’t get caught up in the little things. The day will be amazing no matter what. After all you are marrying the person you love and that’s all that matters. Enjoy the process.

Amazing!! I live close to the city in Melbourne and I went into a few dress shops but just felt like a number and always felt rushed to make a choice.
